Sony vows to stick with the PS3 until at least 2015 - Gaming Everything

Much like their plan with the PS2 (which, arguably wasn?t quite ?supported? beyond the PS3?s launch), Sony?s VP of hardware marketing has said that they?re planning to support the PS3 over the next 2 to 3 years. The quote is as follows:

?A lot of great content is coming, and over the next 2-3 years, the PS3 has got an incredible lineup. We?re going to continue supporting the PS3 for the next few years. Absolutely. And we?re going to continue supporting it not only that long, but as long as there is a development spigot that?s running hot. And I can tell you right now, the development spigot for PS3 is very hot. A lot of great games coming.? ? Sony VP of Hardware Marketing, John Koller

Does this mean that the PS4 will be pushed back? Or does it simply mean that there will be an overlap between the two consoles? I?d guess the latter.
