Some of those aspects include; culture, how to introduce the product or service, staffing, government attributes and even the financial status of the company. ? This paper will analyze the risk involved with introducing water saving products such as toilets, showerheads, and faucet aerators to Australia. ?

In today?s economy many companies have found that in order to stay competitive they need to engage in international business. Making this decision of how to enter the global market can be a daunting task and either make or break a company if not done correctly. ? To achieve a successful

implementation, research and advance planning is imperative to survive as an international contender. ?
Purpose of Study
For the purpose of this paper the nation that develops and initially manufactures the product will be established within the United States. ? The firm is well established in the business of water saving products such as toilets, showerheads, and faucet aerators and has a sufficient amount of working capital. ? This paper will examine some of the factors a firm has to research before deciding to pursue direct foreign investment within the nation of Australia. ? This research will divulge whether it is practical to continue making products in the United States and then exporting them, begin a franchise or joint venture, or set up a solely owned subsidiary in Australia. ? ?
